Best Buy's newly acquired CinemaNow will stream movies on the same date as their DVD release

With rental charges from $1.99-3.99, the service will now work through Blu-ray players, HDTVs, and PCs in addition to previously supported set-top box, portable, and DivX-compatible devices. That will include all Blu-ray players and HTIBs from LG. (Note that the LG BX580, shown, also streams from Netflix and Vudu among other outfits.) More devices, including some from BB's Insignia brand, are on the way. If you need technical advice, Best Buy's Blue Shirts and Geek Squad agents will be there to help.

According to the press release: "The first update to the CinemaNow service is expected to release on select devices later this year and will include an advanced user interface and expanded video playback features aimed at further improving the video entertainment experience."
